Parking in Dalmore Avenue
The Residents of Dalmore Avenue have written to all users of the Recreation Ground to seek their assistance in alleviating the serious problems they have with parking in their street.
Whilst they are very happy for everyone to use the sporting facilities on the Recreation Ground, as we all know Dalmore Avenue is a narrow cul-de-sac in which vehicles cannot turn easily or safely. The impact on residents is significant – often they cannot drive out of their own drive-ways, they and the club regularly suffer from missed rubbish collections and on occasions an ambulance has struggled to reach a patient in the road or on the recreation ground.
The Club Committee discussed this at the most recent Committee meeting and agreed that the Club would like all players and visitors to be as considerate as possible to the residents when coming to the Recreation Ground.
Ø Please walk to the Ground as often as possible;
Ø If you need to drive:
· Please use the public Car Park in Hare Lane – a 3 minute walk from the Club, this is free at weekends;
Ø If you have to park in Dalmore Avenue:
· Please always think about how residents will be able to access their driveways;
· Please do not park with car wheels on the grass verges;
· Please never leave a vehicle that makes the road too narrow for others to drive down.
With thanks in advance for your co-operation,
